The Strategic Charting Requirements And Planning (SCRAP) process involves a series of steps to be performed before customer interviews are conducted. Also, the phases of the waterfall process are "phase-boxed": no subsequent phase can commence before the previous phase is completed. The first phase is allocated to SCRAP planning.
